It’s very common for a customer to come to our shop with an idea of what they need, only to realize our services span much broader than what they initially thought.
When this customer purchased a used 2006 Angler 2600 Panga, their first call was to Seelye Custom Marine to outfit and install customized GatorStep foam mats (a perfect choice for a center console boat). Quickly, our conversation evolved into discussing the other aspects of the boat that also needed to be addressed: replacing the water pump, adding new fishing gear, and even replacing the pads and rotors on his boat trailer.
“You guys can really do all of that??” He responded.
Absolutely. It’s why we call ourselves a one-stop shop. Over the years, we’ve continued to expand our experience and offerings to give customers top-to-bottom solutions for their boats, and this project is a great example of that!

HERE’S A RUNDOWN OF EVERYTHING WE DID:
Patterned and Installed New GatorStep Foam Mats
The showstopper of this project is the new GatorStop foam mats. The customer chose two styles of patterns for their boat: “Large Diamond” and “Pacific,” both in the color “Shark Fin” over “Silver Cloud.”
As you’ll see in the video and photos, the linework and precision with which these mats were installed demonstrated a keen attention to detail. This is largely attributed to our digital patterning. Yes, we deploy the latest technology to digitally pattern every single boat to 100% ensure a perfect fit, alignment, and spacing of the foam mats.
While most customers assume foam mats can only be used on their floors, we also added GatorStep to the dashboard (making it a convenient spot to store your keys or phone), and we added a custom logo that paid homage to their beloved relative.
A lot of times, customers come to us with varying degrees of vision. Some people know exactly what they want and others want us to come alongside to dream up what could be, and that was something we very much enjoyed doing for this project!
Installed New Fishing Gear and T-Top
In this project, the customer supplied the fishing gear, and our task was to expertly install it. For the front of the boat, we drilled and created an access hole to attach a custom-fabricated backer plate, ensuring the fishing gear was securely fastened. At the rear, we installed rod holders, drilling through the boat and using various hardware to achieve a stable fit.
The T-Top, which provides cover over the boat's driving area, was also installed. We removed the old bimini cover and mounted the new T-Top, drilling through necessary sections of the boat. To guarantee a secure installation, we used marine-grade caulks and adhesives.
Addressing Other Hardware Needs (Water Pump Replacement, New Oil, etc)
We don’t just want your boat to look good, we also want it to function well! While in the shop we also addressed the following:
Replaced the water pump
Changed the engine oil
Replaced the engine coolant
Performing Maintenance on the Customer’s Boat Trailer
Did you know we can repair boat trailers too? This is a new addition to our line of services. While the customer’s boat was in the shop, it was the perfect time to make sure their trailer was in tip-top shape as well.
We addressed the following
Replace brake pads and rotors
Replaced trailer bearings and repacked them with marine-grade grease.
The transformation of this boat is truly outstanding and we can’t wait for the customer to take it out for the first time this summer! Check out the full before and after!
